Greenology started in Feb of 2008 at a 5000m2 plot of land at Changi Village. Its owner brewed the concept of an Eco Hub when he first laid eyes on the property. With more than 25 years of experience in the greening industry, he slowly started developing his passion further and worked on a number of innovations and ideas he had always nurtured.

Urban Vertical Greenery, especially in the tropics has always been a challenge. He started researching existing products and systems and started developing his own. The successful vertical greening system he has developed is the Greenology Vertical Greenery (GVG) System.

Veera also has developed the Greenology Roof Garden (GRG) System, a low-cost but efficient and sustainable extensive green roof system.

Greenology designed and built the first Rain Garden in Singapore at Balam Estate and the was the consultant for the one at Lower Seletar Reservoir. Greenology works very closely with PUB and other greening agencies in Singapore and around the world.

Veera also provides various consultancies all over the world including Africa, Morocco, Pakistan, Malaysia, Vietnam and India in various technical fields in landscapes, environment and greening.

He is Botanist, a Horticulturist and an ISA certified Arborist. He also teaches in the Masters in Landscape Architecture (MLA) programme at NUS.

He was involved in the development of the landscapes of the Zoo and Night Safari as its Assistant Curator, Horticulture, in his early years. He then ventured into the private sector to implement numerous landscape projects. He went on to becoming the Head of Horticulture at Changi Airport and was involved in the operations and development of the landscapes of T1, T2 and T3. His last appointment was as the Assistant Director with NParks.

He has since returned to the private sector and started his own business with Greenology Pte Ltd.
